WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY ORDER?
All orders are shipped within 5-7 business days. This excludes made to order or pre order items, which will be shipped in the allocated timeframes on the individual product listings.
ARE YOUR ownsit! JACKETS MADE TO ORDER AND HOW LONG DO THEY TAKE TO MAKE?
They sure are! Our famous ownsit! jackets are handmade in Melbourne. Jacket orders are ready to ship within 2-5 weeks, bonus that it can be earlier. We have your order and know you are eager for your fabulous new Jacket. No need to contact us pre 5 weeks as your order is in production. Should there be delays in making, we will contact you via email.
If you require your order urgently or for a special event please email hello@ownsit.com.au to discuss this as a possibility.
On the odd occasion we have ready to ship Jackets and Vests which you can find here. This is updated regularly so be sure to check back in from time to time.
WHY ARE YOUR HANDMADE GARMENTS SHOWING AS SOLD OUT?
Given the nature of our small handmade business, to ensure the quickest turnaround time for your garment we do regular restocks and pre orders on most of our handmade items. This ensures we utilise as much fabric as possible with minimal waste and maximises the capacity of our team of Melbourne based sewers.
Some designs will be restocked multiple times, some designs may be discontinued and new designs will be introduced. We will advise of above scenarios via our communication channels via social media and newsletter. WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MADE?
Our core range of ownsit! garments, jackets, tees, sweaters, fleece pants, scrunchies are ethically handmade in Melbourne, Australia by a small team of women led, migrant professional seamstresses. We are proud to be part of the slow fashion movement and to work collaboratively in our approach. Our extended range of products are mindfully sourced from reputable Australian suppliers or by local and international makers.
Yes! Excitably ownsit! opened its first store in November 2023. Located at Pentridge : 1 Champ St, Coburg, Melbourne 3058. See COME PLAY INSTORE tab on the website for future details including opening hours.
WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY ORDER?Please allow 5-7 days (excluding weekends and public holidays) for your order to be processed. Please be mindful this may be longer should you have purchased a made to order or pre-order item. For further information please see our shipping page.
CAN I PLACE MULTIPLE ORDERS?Absolutely! If you place multiple orders and would like to combine the shipping please email hello@ownsit.com.au and state your order numbers and request to combine shipping. If the combined postage allows for shipping to be calculated correctly, then the extra shipping will be refunded.
On occasions, combining postage may interfere significantly with wait times and given we do not like to hold onto completed orders so your orders may still be required to be sent separately. Due to this we may decline combining orders but will discuss this with you first.
THERE ARE SLIGHT DEFECTS OR SPOTS ON MY FABRIC?
Our garments are perfectly imperfect with no two garments being the same. This is the nature of handmade products and garments. Unfortunately due to the nature of digital printing some fabrics may show slight alterations in the pattern, but this is a rare occurrence and does not deem the garment faulty.
To preserve quality of life in your garments we recommend items purchased in store or online be dry cleaned or gently hand washed sparingly and dried flat in the shade to avoid colour bleeding, de shaping or damaging fabrics.
Our quality control is of a highest standard at ownsit! and no garment will be sent to you in a condition we wouldn't want to keep for ourselves. In saying that, if you are unhappy with the garment you have received please contact us via email: hello@ownsit.com.au where we can address your concerns.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY ownsit! GARMENTS?
Care instructions are listed on garments however we recommend hand washing your handmade products sparingly in cold water inside out. Dry inside out in the shade preferably on a flat surface like a clothes rack to ensure air flow.
CAN I MAKE PRODUCTS FROM THE FABRIC PACKS TO ONSELL?
Unfortunately we are unable to permit the making of products for commercial purposes due to licensing agreements. You are welcome to make products to gift and we love seeing what you create for personal use however failure to adhere to this could result in legal ramifications.
HOW DO I ORDER A SOLD OUT TEE?Due to the demand in tees, we offer a pre order purchasing system. Tee pre orders are open 2-3 times per year dependant on the brand. Pre orders open for one week and are promoted via our social media channels - instagram, facebook and email. From the date of pre orders closing, please allow up to four weeks for the tees to be ethically made. Once tees are received from our supplier the usual postage timeframes occur for your parcel to be posted. Extra tees are ordered with each pre order and added to the website so it is worth checking back to see if any restocks have occurred. If items are listed as in stock, they are available until sold out.
DO YOU ACCEPT CUSTOM ORDERS?Wanting a specific design or colour? We know that once you join the ownsit! Jacket or Vest family you will come back for more. Perhaps you are wanting a specific design or colour for a special occasion. Providing we can source the fabric you are requesting and our team have the capacity, we are happy to fulfil custom requests. Wait times may vary. If we have capacity and it is an urgent order, a rush order fee may apply. Please email hello@ownsit.com.au to discuss further.
If a custom orders are unable to be exchanged or refunded. We are however happy to help promote the product for sale on instagram stories or you can sell it in the VIP Facebook Group. Any correspondence, financial transactions and liabilities are between the buyer and the seller. ownsit! will not be held liable for any of these interactions.
CAN YOU GIFT WRAP MY ORDER?We can wrap in branded tissue paper and write a personalised message on the included ownsit! card. Please leave a note at checkout if requesting this.
